Editing Video in CS6 Problem

I have worked on a short video for hours but now it seems to have disappeared! I noticed that the clip in the timeline is purple in color whereas the other clip is blue. When I try to play back, it seems frozen on the first frame and won't play back. Adobe was no help as I couldn't understand the agent's accent. Once I find the clip, I then need to join the two clips together into one 9 minute movie, but even that is turning out to be unsolvable...help!?

without being rude, one has to ask why you're editing a nine minute video in photoshop?

Seeing as this was posted 2 weeks ago, might be too late...but still....and just incase you didn't get it solved. Guessing you mean you are using Adobe Premiere CS6. Sometimes files in Permiere can unlink to the original file on the harddrive....for whatever reason. You can go to the project bin where all the files in Permiere are kept and right click and replace footage, then go to where the file is on the harddrive and click back on that same file. That might be the problem, but adobe premiere CS6 has a lot of issues and it still might be something else.
After 2 weeks, hope you see this and it helps.
