Editing Labels on a product

Hi All,

Im looking for the easiest/quickest but good quality way to edit the label on products. I posted an example, the main image itself is fine as is, but some details on the label change, like the scent name and some colors on the label. The label below is an older design so ill also post a few illustrator files that contain what it actually looks like. Candy Cane Forest_4.jpg

so the above image is what the main photo will look like, the next 2 are 2 of the labels in question. Am i better off taking the source image with or without one of the images and how would i superimpose the changed label on the next one?

Here's a video that may help. Newer versions of Photoshop (not mine) have a feature within the Warp tool called Cylinder Warp. This feature, in conjunction with a Smart Object, should accomplish what you want.

If you're not familiar with Smart Objects, you may miss an important idea. The key is to initially set up your label as a blank rectangle. Once this blank Smart Object is oriented correctly (wrapped around the cylinder), you can then import any new label design into it. Your new label will then automatically shape itself correctly. This is shown in the video starting around the 2:05 mark, where they use the Place Embedded command.
