Can anyone help me make editable graphics that would help turn these images: le=78&schoolid=2061837&p=524&sku=G200&d=43961&cp=1.jpgGetImage.jpgale=78&schoolid=2061837&p=524&sku=G200&d=7667&cp=1.jpgale=78&schoolid=2061837&p=524&sku=G200&d=7686&cp=1.jpg
into these (for example):ale=78&schoolid=2061820&p=524&sku=G200&d=9521&cp=1.jpgGetImage.jpgale=78&schoolid=2061820&p=524&sku=G200&d=7667&cp=1.jpgale=78&schoolid=2061820&p=524&sku=G200&d=7686&cp=1.jpg

simply by changing the colors and school name somewhere perhaps in an excel file. Obviously the file would have columns or something for primary color, secondary color, etc. and for team Name, Team nickname.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, even if this kind of thing has a name?

Thanks,

Aaron

You can do this with Photoshop and don't need Excel for that, though Excel might be able to do it. I've never tried.

Word can do it with text boxes and word art, but may be more time consuming and harder to update with different names. I haven't used it in years so I don't know all the tricks. With Photoshop, you would adjust size of the font and its AV spacing to fit things into the shape and size. To me that is the most straightforward. Easy to change fonts by selecting text layers. Same for the letters. But as I said you can do the majority of this in Word, depending on how professional you want it to look. I would choose PS, but here is what my not so proficient in MS Word self did, obviously not to the specs you need.

Thanks a lot for the info, I would prefer to do it in Photoshop but I just want the updates to be easy so I figured there must some kind of a way to have a database that would automatically generate the images. Do you know if this is possible?

OK, I thought you wanted to use MS Office, but I guess you'd have gone to a different forum . . .

You can create an action in PS that will reproduce making one design. But I don't know enough about actions to know if you can create it to substitute words. I think you'll still have to manually plug those in. In which case you can do this with the original psd and "save as."

I'm sure someone more familiar with actions will have better advice.

Ok thanks, I`ve done more research and I think I need to work with actions and variables. Thanks for getting me this far anyway.

I`ll post a new thread with a different title. Really I want to post in freelance work but I need 5 posts first.

I guess it would be best if someone could confirm that I need to work with variables and actions to do what I`m looking to do.
