Edit Multiple layers

hello,

I was wondering if it is possible to edit the threshold on multiple layers at the same time instead of editing one layer at a time. I am currently working on an animation which i import from imageready, and would like to apply the threshold effect. Is there a trick to make this possible?

thanks in advance,

I'm not sure if there's a shorter way. But I did this once at work as a fix to a project and never experimented again with it.

Create an adjustment>threshold layer above the layers you want to edit. Bear this in mind the adjustment layer affects every layer underneath it. That said, the layers you don't want to edit has to be ABOVE the adjustment layer.

It's a quickie advice. Hang on, someone may have a better idea.

Thank you!
Unfortunately it did not work for me :/ perhaps something specific to the file type?

Strange. that worked for me .

I'm trying it now with a multiple layered file .............

Try this .... while holding down CTRL&Shift keys , click layers you need to edit. This will select all the needed images.

Make The top most layer that contains an image you want to adjust the active layer (click on the layer) and create your adjustment threshold layer over that.

Hope this works .

Put those layers into a group folder set to normal not pass through, add an adjustment layer and will effect just the layers in the group.

That also works... but i realized just now as with my first post that it would affect the layer sequence of his images.... most especially if there are images he doesn't intend to edit in between layers he needs to.

Okay ... don't laugh... I'm a caveman right now... away from home on an old laptop with PS7 (Oh my stars)

here's my work around.... if marcoo finds it feasible for his use....

in my first image, the linked layers are adjusted. You'll notice the other normal - inbetween layers are also affected.View attachment 2303

With a little copy and paste and delete..... I selected the image on say layer3 copy, right clicked layer 3 and created a new layer via copy , selected the image on layer 3 copy again, clicked on layer 3 to make it active, and deleted the excess on the layer.

I did the same with layer 4.

The new layers I then moved above the threshold layer and .... viola.

Off course , mine may not be the best solution to the problem. I'm willing to learn , too.:)
