Hello Photoshop Gurus!
I hope you can help me to make this picture looks like a portrait.

This is a picture of Zygmunt Klein a Polish Pilot who flew with RAF during the Battle of Britain during 1940.
He was missing in action on November 28th, 1940. Apparently he and P/O Boy Marrs shot down Major Helmut Wick but so many sources stayed that was F/Lt John Dundas. Anyway he is one of the Churchill's Few.

I want that this picture looks like this.

If you can remove the background and make this picture looks better, I will appreciate this.

Hi Spitfire. Well, I gave it a shot. There is a halftone pattern on it that I really am not sure what to do with. I gave it some gaussian blur but didn't want too much. I painted in a couple details. Anyone with ideas of where it might go next, feel free to work with the pngs or I'll load up the psd.

Here are two slightly different versions, for the Photoshoppers: one with blur filter at 80%, normal mode; one with blur filter at 60%, overlay mode.

AAACK! might as well post 80% blur in overlay mode . . . and that's enough. None of them are that good, but they're all variations in the same psd if anyone wants it.

Thank you very much ibclare, sorry for ask this, could you please do some effect to make this photo more clear?
I mean, looks like scanned, maybe clear that?
Or maybe another chaps can help on this?

Best Regards.

No spitfire, I can't. I don't know any technique, which is not to say there isn't one. Do you have any idea how low quality that photo is? There is no detail to bring out. I actually painted some in. That statement you made in your request, "I want that this picture looks like this," well, there is no way.

So I am sorry but this is the best you will get from me.

This will never reach the op's request, i hope they understand this fact?
