Easier way to select many areas in an image

Hi all,

I have a question concerning selection. Basically, I have some images from work of cells (biology) where we've labeled all of their nuclei as blue, and so we get many, many blue dots, among other things in the image. My boss says that I need to increase the intensity of all of the nuclei (blue dots) so that they show up better in the final images. I get that one way of doing that would be to select the areas in a separate layer and raise the intensity independent of the rest of the image, but there are so many areas I need to work on. My question is: Is there an easier way of accomplishing this ? Thanks guys.
