Dropping into iWeb

Im trying to make a website with Iweb. Ive designed various parts on PS and am trying to save them to drop them into iweb to arrange them all seperatly. Every time I do this it saves the background even when I uncheck it. Im pretty sure I worked out how to do this last year but am having no such joy at the moment. Its the way I saved it.
