Drop shadows not converting over

Making my website graphics with PS and transferring over, need some tips. My main boxes that carry the information are set up by div tags but are blank. I just set the background image of them to whatever I make in PS. I can't seem to figure out how to get the drop shadows to appear in DW though. I usually have to make my canvas a little bit bigger in PS so I can actually see the dropshadows but it never converts over right. Any ideas?

What are some other ways to make the web boxes look more professional ? Borders, ect?
