HI
@Ally2021
A few quick thoughts
- First, on the website, they have a help page that discusses recommendations on needed resolutions, maximum dimensions, and file sizes, which will be useful. Also what file formats they accept The website indicate that as you upload files, it will give you recommendations on the fly
- 300 dpi is used for viewing within 12 inches of photo paper
- 150 dpi is used for viewing at 24 inches of photo paper (I would not go below 150 dpi)
- Depending on the canvas paper they are using, you might get away with a somewhat lower resolution, yet there are many smoother canvas papers with great resolution.
- You would probably be just fine upsizing in Photoshop if the image quality you have at 4K is excellent
- If you want even higher resolution, sometimes even higher resolution version of the image can be found online
- Alternately, there are Plugins such as Topaz AI that, in many cases, can do a better upsizing (you could put a request in the "Free Request Forum," and a forum member might be able to do that for you
- Note that the aspect ratio of your 4K image does not match the aspect ratio of the canvas you quoted. So if you fit the long dimension of the pixels to the 120 cm, you will have some blank space on top and bottom that would need to be cut or filled in
I hope these suggestions are helpful, and ask away if you have more questions.
