Distribute images in rows and columns

Hi!
I have a very silly doubt but nobody was able to answer it yet ...

I have 12 images (100x100) and I want to place them in grid layout with 3 cols and 4 rows so the result is a 400x300 image

How can I do it automatically? i.e., not creating an empty file, and placing images one by one ...

Please, tell me there is a way to do it !!

If you have CS4 or earlier go to File|Automate|Contact Sheet II

But in contact sheet, do images maintain size or are they thumbnails?

For me to be sure I would have to create the 12 100X100 files and try it myself.
You can specify the columns and rows and the size of the document.
It's just a few mouse clicks, try it out and let us know.
