I've used the polygon tool to draw a nice little pentagon & used the pucker & bloat tool to turn it into a flower-ish shape.
But, on the tutorial I was watching, a hexagon was used & their flower was completely regular (all petals the same size). Mine isn't, the bottom one's are bigger than the top. Is there a way I can make it regular with a pentagon?

Also, after doing it, I still have the outline of the pentagon. If I'm going to send this to a laser, I need only the path I want to be cut, ie just the flower. How can I make sure that's the only path I have & get rid of the pentagon?

Thanks

Double click the tool and set the options. Then just click and hold at the same spot on each side of the pentagon to get the same results.
