Disco Dancing Alien

Thanks... I did try and get it look more dance like.. but then it didn't look right with one foot in the air, i just went more for the just starting or Finnish of the dance move and the pose.
I got the idea from an image i found on the net of Alien in a similar pose, so made one myself using this pose with the pen tool, then again the pen tool to create the mouth, tongue, shading and eye, then squares with inner glow for each color , then perspective, used 3 similar colors for the back ground then a bokeh brush for the dots.
I originally had a disco ball above the Alien but it didn't look right with the shining and star effects on it so i removed it.
I just thought i would try something different for a change on the lines of illustration rather than manipulation.

I am pleased that you have tried something completely new. And your creation looks excellent and very interesting, a bit like a comic. However a very nicely made PS job. I'm surprised that you've tried this new approach, which is very cool.

Thank you everyone... just had to give it a go when a saw something similar on the web... quite enjoyed doing it for fun... I like doing it so much I think I might take another look around for more inspiration on this kind of art.. Thinking of doing something where the body is melting/gluey type thing/ something where it has no feet but is part gliding on the floor as though it has a Victorian dress like body to it. might not turn out that way but just an idea at the moment.
