I'm the mod you love to hate. First the 3 Ps, then the 3 PHs, now the 3 Ds. Sigh.

Well c'est la vie! You can't get rid of me that easily. (but you can ignore me all you please) :cool2:

This forum encourages free speech guys! We even have our moments of hijacking a thread for off-topic comments. The funny conversations are cool. The serious comments are important. Outright criticisms or question of the content are valuable. Of course no flaming the OP or any other members is permitted and can buy one a warning or infraction for this kind of post.

When there are serious issues that any member has with content, replies, images, suspicion of trolls, vulgarity, plagiarism, flaming, or any other suspicions of a serious nature, please either PM admin or a mod or use the triangular yellow report button to bring the post in question to the attention of staff. That is the reason we are moderators. But as you all can recognize, we can't be everywhere. We have more mods at this time than we have had in the recent past, so it may seem like we are always hovering! But having too few staff is much harder on the forum, let me tellya.

My apologies if anyone is offended by the way I have worded this. No offense intended. I am not the best diplomat or maybe my 4 year stint as a City Councilwoman wouldn't have abruptly ended, and I'd be a US Senator by now! But I'm not.

Thanks everyone for your basically great behaviour, advice and help, and good manners with each other. Just remembere, there are some issues you don't need to deal with; let them be someone else's headache. You should read my hate mail. JK.

Please rethink all your statements, comments, critiques, etc., before posting. Remember, the written word is bereft of body language, voice inflection, and so forth. Innocent comments can start wars.

Please reread it carefully oh rash, young Jedi. And please! No one on the forum should internalize tihs as pointing fingers at them. We are all guilty of jumping the gun, not reading carefully, getting puffed up with indignation and righteousness. No one among us is free of impulsive posting. We've all done it, maybe had our hands slapped (or not), and maybe have had to retract our statement and/or apologize. No big deal. I would just like all of us to be more thoughtful and stop to think if our comments might be misinterpreted. Think how you might respond if you felt it was directed at you. It is just a matter of wording for the most part.

I will tell you how I have improved and what I use as the acid test of my comments.

1) am I thinking entirely of my own reaction
2) am I taking into account what appears to be the intention of the OP or the member replying
3) am I considering how I would react to what might be considered serious criticism masquerading as advice
4) am I trying to put myself into the place of the person making the indiscreet remark
5) am I replying with love. This may sound corny, but it is what tempers my words

Please just consider this list.
