It's designed around EDI from Mass Effect (2) she's forever making jokes no-one quite understands, and has to clarify with 'that was a joke'

just to clear that up.
this was the only shirt I could find that would look okay-ish on, as there's no straight up blank background render, so there was a lot of faffing around trying to get the background not to show up on the image.

My T-shirt design.

anyway, I actually kind of want to print the design onto an actual shirt now, however, I have a feeling it wouldn't come out very well, certainly not on dark shirts.

I like it Zee! It's pretty cool. I don't see why it wouldn't print properly, but if fading into the dark bg is a problem, then I would increase contrast and brightness. I in fact think it needs more brightness and contrast anyway. It might benefit from sharpening unless that is only the way it appears on psg screen. The colors just need to pop more. They look very faded in the original and you improved them a lot, but a "logo" on a shirt should be visible and recognizable from a distance and should really grab your attention, IMHO. Maybe a white bg for it could help, but I think that would ruin the abstract and elegant effect.

thanks clare!

It probably does need sharpening, it was re-sized a fair bit so quality could have been lost, but it could also be the bloom effect in the game screenshot at work too, hence, her holographic representation looks a little faded, and a little too white, Unreal Engine 3 has a habit of washing colors with its post processing effects.

I've had a look at the image again, taking on board what you said about vibrancy, and I've managed to pull out a bit more color and detail from it. but the new alpha channel makes it look a little 'odd' in places with a few ugly looking dark spots, that's the opacity of the hologram conflicting with the mask a little bit. a little grey on the channel should fix that.

might see if my local T-shirt printer's able to do this actually. worth a shot!
