Hi guys,

Not sure if anyone can answer my question but am desperate so might as well ask.

I had a logo designed for my small business page on Facebook and I presume it was created using photoshop. I had the logo sent to me in jpg format and png. When I uploaded as a profile picture in both formats and both times it comes up blurry (it's not actually blurry til it's uploaded on the web. I contacted the creator and was told I would need to pay extra for it to be correctly sized as a Facebook badge, so I paid the extra and same thing happend. I've asked if there's anything they can do to correct it, only to be ignored. So my question is, does anyone know why my logo would go blurry once uploaded on the web and if so is there any chance it could be re-created if I find someone willing to as its fairly simple. Thanks

I thought it may be an issue with Facebook but I havnt come across a page yet with a blurry logo so thought it may be an issue with the actuall design. As for the resolution of the logo I am not sure (I have no idea when it comes to graphics hence why I have come on here) and the actual designer wont respond to my questions. It just seems to be the text on the graphic? If you search for kisses to kota on Facebook you will see what I mean(nothing asides from logo on there yet as waiting to work out what's wrong with my logo) your input would be muchly appreciated :)

I am not to sure but the designer still isn't responding to me. Would this be easy to reproduce? I have never used photoshop but was thinking of downloading the free trial to see if I could do it myself

I do not know what you started with. If you have the psd, that would be best to look at. Or a copy of the jpeg. I went to FB and saved the image but I don't know if it's the same. Here is my version. I redesigned the heart and remade the text, not the same font but the idea was to demonstrate the crispness.

How that would translate onto FB I am not sure, but I've never had any issues. The design itself as I downloaded it is very pixelated.

This is the original I was sent, its very clear, but when I upload it to Facebook it seems to lose colour and the text seems to blurr. Am at a loss as to why that would be?

I magnified your jpeg to the largest size and downloaded it. It is still a bit blurry for that resolution and without the psd, hard to tell if it's just jpeg compression, especially if you've saved it again. But I believe I know who to ask about FB, so if you'll be patient . . .

Thank you so much for your help. I really appreciate :) I can't upload the psd file because the creator only sent me the jpg and pgn because it was a premade logo that was customised and not OOAK.

No not really. Still don't really understand why I can't get it to load perfectly as Facebook badge. Thought it may be compression of image but see plenty of page badges that aren't blurry like it does to mine.

The problem is the compression that Facebook uses on it's uploaded images. That and the fact that it scales down the resolution.

If you're going to get someone to attempt this again I would recommend making the text a lot larger and clearer, using these two pale shades together strains my eyes.
