Hi All, it is maybe stupid, but it doesn't work even when all the layers are selected. the thing i want to do is to delete a selection, the same one, in all the layers, in one process. of course, i can do it one layer by one layer, but i work on stack of 400 layers, acquire from video, so, if you have an answer, i will be very happy.
here is a screen of my board:

a last thing, i'm new in this forum, i'm a french photographer in France, specialized in virtual tours, if you want to see my work, you are welcome , it's here : gabrielacoca.fr

highlight all the layers in the layer panel and press control + G this will group them then draw out your selection and click apply layer mask or use the eraser tool or delete

Hi Hoogle, and thank you for your reply, i have try this method before, but it doesn't work, photoshop ask to merge the layers before as you can see:4 photoshop guru2.jpg the error message is: could not clear because the pixel in a group cannot be edited without merging the group. If you have an other idea ;-) but thanks again.

Euh , sorry, no , it's not working … in fact, it's apply the same mask to all the layers at the same position, that is ok, but after, i need to move the layers, and in this case, it's not working because i have the same mask for all the layer , so i need to apply the mask to all the layers before moving them, i have seen that in blending options it's not possible, maybe i try with dynamic layer, but if someone have an idea ...

not got it loaded up at the moment to test my theory but you can probably convert all the layers to a smart object and then just apply 1 mask to the smart object, when you open up the smart object your layers will still be in tact.

failing that you can just mask 1 then hold the alt key down and drag the layer mask to all layers or do a batch process of applying the sm=ame layer mask to each layer

Hi Hoogle, and thank again … i will try your theory tomorrow morning, because here in France it's 1 AM, and i was shutting down … i will tell you tomorrow, good night .
