Hi

I am currently drawing straight single line paths using the pen tool on a project. When i come to move the anchor points of these single straight lines to move each end (using the direct selection tool), the anchor points splits into another one and pulls away to form a shape instead of move the end of the line. Could someone help me please, it's driving me mad! :) I'm on a mac if that makes any difference.

Thanks very much...

EDIT:
Ahh that tutorial says everything :P

Hmmm on my windows, if I hold ctrl I can drag the anchor points and if I hold Alt and drag the small thingy's on each side of the anchor points I can change the curves "curving".. Oh god my english is terrible *sigh*.. I dont know the shortkeys on a mac, but try around with those :)!

It's like a TV show we have here... OHHHH, MY ENLISH..... lol

That works, too.

But generally its better to use CTRL rather than ALT . If you press ALT and click in the wrong place ( say an anchor point or the path) it will either delete/add a point or reset/change the anchor point orientation.

You can also use CTRL+ALT and click/drag the direction handle bars to transform the arcs created from an anchor point equally.
