Im looking for tips on cutting out pictures from their background. I now how to do it, but is there any trick on especially difficult situations like a dark haired girl with hair in motion on a white background, when i want ot cut it out and use it on red background..... I guess a professional would only use a photo that was taken on a red background huh?

It`s possible enough. The only thing you need to watch for is the reflected light on the edges of the girl. It will either need to be removed of converted to red to avoid the "halo" thing.

Does anyone have any tips on how to do hair then? One idea i just thought of could be to color replace the white to red?

thank you!

I know what a mask is, i think i understand channels, but ive never used them. So im excited to see how they can help me in freelayong a picture. Thanks for the help! 8))

Online, there are many tutorials on channel masking, I recommend to read several to get a grasp of the different techniques. Maybe post the ones you found more useful, for other members. Feel free to ask questions if you need more info!
