Custom Couch

A bit more time on the cropping and some definition to the couch would make it look neater mate, love the concept though - very Top Gear.

Maybe from a slight angle if you have differing stocks to accommodate such an idea would help, the front on images do lend to limited choices i suppose.

The truck part would be easy, I know where to get a bunch of images for that...the couch part will take some looking around.

I think that would be a cool feature. Have the headlamps and fog lamps give a accent lighting. I am beginning to wonder how hard it would be to make real.

Wonder if this could be done in 3d space. Would like to see the side and top view. From there, we'll know if it's feasible to create.

Cadillac Deville ends, huh. What year?

LOL.. looks like I'm biting more than I can chew.... 3D KITBASH in mind.

I'm sure it can be done in 3D space, not something I want to take on though. If I remember right I think the Cadillacs used were supposed to be from the early '60's. I don't think real Cadillacs were used though. I'll google it some time.

If you ever watch Pawn Stars on TV, the guy that owns the place, Rick had a couch made for his son's birthday with the same theme. He used a Cadillac for the car parts. I think I remember he had the guy that does American Restorations, to make it. It was a wad of money though besides the car parts they found. $10k or something like that. It was cool though.

I love it hershy. (wouldn't go with my home decor . . . ) Did anybody suggest putting big wheels on it and making those into end tables?!

Uh, maybe not with a Cadillac Seville though.

I would make this work in my apartment, then again every piece of furniture I have doesn't go with each other. Typical poor college student kind of decor. I found this site that does this kind of work. http://www.sweetsofas.com/finishedcouches.html . It's all classic cars from what I've seen. But this is something that I would take on myself. I have two junk yards fairly close to me and a welding shop nearby to where I'm sure I can get some box tubing. Only I couldn't do is the upholstery.

To go along with the theme of the couch, did a quick coffee table using two wind shield frames with roof. Think the expensive part would be the glass for the top.

Welding! Now that would be a great skill for you to have. I often thought about learning it myself, but I can't stand the heat. You know what they say about that: if you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.

I love the table too hershy. I see a business in your future.

I learned to weld back in high school, but never had the chance to practice it since then. Would be nice to do it again. Funny ya mention seeing a business in my future, been told by a few people over the years that I have a very business like mindset. A lot of my family has owned a business or worked for themselves so I guess it runs in the family.
