Cursor problems

Hi Everyone--first post here, so I'm sorry if this is discussed elsewhere. I tried but couldn't find the topic anywhere in the forum.

My preferences are set for a "normal brush tip" cursor--the circle that mimics the diameter of the spray. Likewise, my color picker tool is set for the std eyedropper cursor. I'm not sure what happened, but all of a sudden, instead of displaying those standard cursors, the program displays the "precise" cursor (the circle with the crosshair). If I go into the Edit|Preferences|Cursor, it shows that my selectections of normal cursors is still programmed in. I can't seem to be able to get the program to revert back to displaying the "regular" cursors and it's making me crazy!

I realize that I must have toggled something inadvertently, but I can't figure out what I did to cause this to happen. FWIW, this happened to me once before (a long time ago, with an older pc and earlier version of PS) and the problem went away after several weeks as mysteriously as it started.

If anyone has any suggestions or knows what I did and how to reverse it, I'd be much obliged if you'd post the solution. TIA for any assistance you can lend.

try just resetting brushes then set them as you wish, have you tried that?
