still getting used to the M1 iMac. Have a slight problem, in that it scrolls so fast that when clouding or brushing and I touch the edge oftheimage it immediately shifts the 400 meg image to the left...

did not have this problem on the ol 2012 iMac..

any preference or setting to stop it.?

any way to just keep the image centered in the window.

also noted that occasionally hitting command zero does not make the image fit the screen...

regards, Sandy. (also must apologise for my bad typing that autocorrect often mixes up again. right hand re-assembled after a powers accident)

On my iMac, this only happens when I have the image zoomed and I use the "shift" key, to make straight lines, with the Brush Tool. It does not happen without the shift key being involved. I can't reproduce your results and I can't tell you whether or not this is a Mac OS or a Ps problem. However, in searching, this issue has been brought up to Adobe many times in the past.

Cmd + 0 works every single time. Can not reproduce this problem.

In Ps, my magic mouse acts differently when zoomed. It scrolls in any direction just by touching the mouse with one finger.

Hi @nurgle
I have an Apple Silicon MacBook Pro and do not see any difference with Intel silicon 2008 MacBook Pro.
There is one setting that does have an influence on part of that behavior and it is the Overscroll option in Prefernces in the Tools section.
You might want to check out that setting as well
Just a suggestion

I considered the "overscroll" option, but when I turned it on, It did not produce the problem that Sandy describes. I will be curious to see if it solves her problem.

Hi, yes it seem to have solved it. only tested one file. so far so good.

(Sandy is the Scottish translation of Alexander... in Russian Alexander is Sasha.)
