Ctrl+ keys not working in CS??

This is incredibly frustrating. None of the control key combinations are working for me in PS CS. The control keys on my 'puter are fine - I've tested them out and had no problem in other programs.

Has anyone else had this problem in CS? I use Ctrl+H and Ctrl+D all of the time ...

Chapps - this issue has been addressed a number of times on this forum, and in fact, is also on the adobe site...

I'm going to assume here that you are using a cracked version, rather than a legal copy, as CTRL functionality is unavailable if you are using an "illegal" copy ;)

I've now seen references to this problem on the site ... but as far as I knew, my copy of PS CS was legit. Granted, it was purchased at a local computer show for a discount, but I've purchased a lot from that vendor over the years and everything's been fine up to now. So this could be a cracked and burned CD? Unbelievable ...

I've just read your other post, and sad to say, that this is most probably the case... you probably don't know whether other cd's you have bought from this source are legit or not, as i'm not familiar with too many other companies that have disabled their features on cracks, so maybe you've been 'unwittingly' burnt a few times :{

Based on all the other things I've heard about PSCS, it's also possible that CS is just a buggy P.O.S. [saywhat] [shhh]

*sigh* That's just great. At least I've still got PS 7.0 installed, so I won't be crippled in my work. It burns me, and I'll definitely contact the guy to hear an explanation ... if it turns out the software is a cracked copy.

Guess I'll be ordering from a legit online source if that turns out to be true.

It's very easy to know this. Simply write to Adobe, and tell them that you bought this copy of PSCS with that specific serial (you're on mac I suppose?) from that vendor, and they will tell you whether it legit. or not. If not, he will most probably have some explaining to do...

Before jumping on the neck of Adobe :D , check that your keyboard drivers don't require an update. It is the case with a lot of logitech keyboards, AFAIK

why are you guys purchasing/"getting" this prog so soon!!!??? Wow some people just dont get it. You have to wait over a half a yr.. maybe a year, and then download the program. Its because after that amount of time.. most of the screwed up origional releases errors are then gone. ;)
