CTRL key no longer functions

I ended up having to replace my motherboard and relaoding all my apps back on my machine. When I now come to use Photoshop CS the CTRL key no longer functions which is a trifle annoying. It works in all other applications but in PS. I have re-installed several times and it still has the problem.(It was fine before I re-installed everything). Is there something or some file that holds preferences that may have been inadvertantly been restored somewhere that I am not looking. (I did have to restore some other apps that are not related). I have checked the user preferences configuration and it says (example) CTRL+C = copy...etc.

I am running on XP Pro - if that has anything which may help -

If anyone has some files that I should check out - or knows how to reset everything back to factory default - I would sincerely appreciate it.

Thanks

Thanks for that link - my problem is I don't have a logitech Keyboard but a Multimediw Power 911V keyboard that I am unable to find driver for - I will now direct my efforts to seeing if I can get the correct drivers as I am using the default ones that windows installed. In my previous install I had upgraded from 2000 to XP and I assume the drivers it used was from the 2000 install - Where as when I did the new install I just installed XP direct. I will see if I can progress further in that direction. edit--- I do have a different keyboard (dell) that I will try when I get home - Maybe that will help .

OK all is fixed now :righton: - I have a generic NMB keyboard and it is working. To verify I had a "Future Power Keyboard" before. Although I noticed that after plugging in my new keyboard and then going back to the old one - The Inner CTRL key now works ,but the outer one does not... Does this allow me to draw any conclusions?? - If I could find the drivers for the old keyboard I bet it would work - But anyways - enough time with this - I can now get productive again :) --- Thanks for the initial pointer - It gave me somewhere to look and I had nearly resigned myself to using the mouse for everything :)
