CS6 zoom

For those of us who HATE the new zoom tool in CS6, it seems that if you simply un-check the SCRUBBY ZOOM box at the top tool bar, it goes back to the old zoom tool.

Hummm,,,, what's not to love about scrubby zoom? I think it's cool and enjoy using and having that capability. Just my 2 cents.
 
lol I never even knew there was a new zoom tool every version of of photoshop first thing I do is go to edit preferences and check use mouse scroll wheel for zoom also works with graphic tablets 1 of my favourite features sad I know but I couldnt live without it now.
 
My web guru bought CS6 same time as I did.
First thing we both said was - "HATE the new zoom tool!!!"

What's not to like? I want to zoom in specifically to this 5"x5" area.
Impossible with scrubby zoom.
 
This behavior can be startling if you're expecting the old behavior. The key is to understand how the new behavior works.

Start the zoom by clicking on the area you want to zoom into and keep the mouse button down. As you drag right, you zoom into the point where you initially clicked. As you drag left, you zoom out from the point where you initially clicked.

If you decide that you still prefer the old behavior, you can disable the new behavior by selecting the Zoom Tool and unchecking "Scrubby Zoom" on the tool options bar
