CS6 - Image Rendering Problems

Hi guys,

I'm running Photoshop CS6.

I notice that when viewing an image zoomed out, it appears blotchy as if it is not rendering correctly. However, when i zoom in more, it renders correctly.

I've uploaded two screen grabs to hep illustrate the problem:

On this version you can see how blotch the skin appears around the eye and in the shadows. However, zooming in once results in the image rendering correctly and the blotches disappear:

My graphics cards drivers and monitor drivers are up to date.

As you can imagine, for portrait work this is a fricking nightmare!

Many thanks,

Not sure what you mean by "rendering correctly". Even your 2nd screen grab isn't "rendering" the image completely. To see all the pixels that are in your image file, you need to view at 100%. That's why large monitors are so desirable for image editing.
