Hello. I have noticed that when playing with some images (mostly low rez) i get this weird effect. Thing is i cannot use the healing brush to fix it either. Tired cloning, works somewhat but ruins my tones. Any idea what is happening here?

Thanks

i used the healing brush on it...
I managed to get rid of the junk using the blur tool. It's weird, CS4 never did that to images:rolleyes:

Do you see it at all magnifications, including standard (25%-50%-etc.)? Are you using multiple layers with different blending modes?

i`m not sure what the cause was.. i just tried to resize a couple of images and didn't get that effect.
The images though were not burned, which was the case with the example i gave... I`ll keep my eyes open though

If overused the healing brush does the exact opposite...it messes images up. It looks at the surrounding pixels and builds from there. Cannot beat good old cloning...the healing tool is a nice helper, but shouldn't be main tool you use to fix a larger area.

I would have to agree with Scott here, the Clone tool does the same thing...
