CS3 keeps resetting

What can I do to stop this software from resetting to factory default settings? This is very frustrating because I end up changing the settings to what I want, only to have it reset again later. I am using Windows XP on a PC.

Any help would be appreciated.

I never heard of Photoshop resetting settings, it's most likely that it can't update the settings file because you blocked it by accident while you were cluelessly playing with security....sigh

This is a very common occurrence, I've had this happen on windows and mac versions of photoshop.
