CS3 - HELP! _ all Blur Filter functions quit working

I'm using PS CS3... tonight all my blur filter functions just quit working... The other filters seem to be fine. The first blur drop down box opens, but when I click on gauissian blur, or blur, or motion blur, radial blur, etc... I get nothing... the next step never appears. Any clues??
