I have done something to cause the CROP tool to change.

When I use it and adjust to the image area I wish to retain and press enter or double click, the entire image disappears. Ctl-lt-Z restores the entire image.

Would someone point me in the right direction?

How to reset Photoshop preferences (In Windows):
  1. First, hold down all three Ctrl+Alt+Shift buttons
  2. Now "while keeping those button held," simply open Photoshop or a file that opens with Photoshop
  3. As Photoshop loads, you should get a prompt asking if you would like to "delete the Photoshop settings file", Click yes.
  4. Note: I have found that this process is kind of finicky and doesn't always work. I have had the best results pressing Ctrl+Alt+Shift and clicking the Photoshop shortcut from the start menu in Windows.

I had been trying to get this to work over a week or so. It finally worked this morning. I guess I finally got my toung in the right place. The problem may have been more Win 7 than PS. Now I have to get Views -> Extras to stay off.

Many thanks.
Charlie
