Critique my website design

Hey everyone!

So I'm getting started in the web design area (trying to start selling sites around my city) and want some feedback over how my "portfolio/company" site is looking.

I'll be adding some effects to the slider soon, and some minor tweaks around, but that's mainly how the home site will look (and basically how the other pages will, too).

Any tips/pointers are gladly accepted!

That logo reflection looks weird, also put those navigation links center

Actually, I don't want the logo. Especially the V or U? correct me if im wrong

I'd play around with color and contrast a bit more. It looks ok as it is, but you want the important elements to 'pop' a bit more...perhaps try it without the navbar?

I have to agree with the logo reflection; it is a little distracting.
And the logo on the left hand side has the link border, which looks out of place to me.
I like the lighter colours that you've used for the borders and text; it's easier to look at.
