Creating text vector image

Hi there, I use photoshop 3.0 and am familiar with basic functions, but now i need to create a vector image - this is for uploading to a t shirt design web site. The writing needs to be in Russian, which i have successfully cut and pasted into photoshop.

But here is where my problem lies, i need to save it in vector format - and i havent a clue! I hope someone on here can help me with this?

Illustrator

Hi there.. if you have illustrator, you can do that in a snap by tracing with the pen tool.. then play with path - simply to get it all nice and smooth. Its great for recreating logos and tracing pretty much anything.

I havent done much vector work in photoshop.... checking out that link too.
