Illustrator creating lots of equally spaced lines quickly

I would like to fill this rounded rectangle with closely 'equally' spaced lines at 45 deg. Any idea how to do this quickly and get each line to connect to the edge easier than what you can see I was doing?

There are different ways to do it. One way:
Draw two lines at an angle at each end of the art board
Select and use the blend tool to make as many as you like
Copy the orange rectangle and place it above the blend lines and use it as a clipping mask for the blend object

Beautiful thanks...that will take my attention to learn the clipping mask but I will do it later tonight, much appreciated as always
