Creating a metallic paint effect... how?

Hi All

Just wondering if there's an effect or brush effect that allows one to use a metallic painting effect. Have done a search on youtube to no avail. Any ideas/suggestions/advice?

Obviously there is a huge range of different metallic paint effects - for example, gold, chrome, brushed steel and even rust!

Without knowing exactly what type of effect you are after this can only be general - but try this search on google.

I find with metal it's more to do with the reflections coming from it that the colour itself. a colour can usually just be added at the end
