When I use the rectangle tool to just click once on the canvas and then enter the dimensions of the rectangle I want, the resulting rectangle is WAY smaller than it should be. Like microscopic. It will have the same proportions as I entered but for example, a 100 x 100 pixel rectangle(when I enter those dimension) will turn out to be like 5 x 5 pixels.

Any idea why?
I just installed PS on my new computer which is Windows 8.

Will thank for answers
Sean

It sounds like your document dimensions are way bigger than you realize

Is there a way to edit "document dimensions" as a setting or something? Otherwise it is seriously just making rectangles that are extremely tiny.

Glad to help, sorry i didn't help you find it but it is probably best you found on your own.... easy to remember now
