I would like to know how to create a coverpage with a tiger claw scratch on the cover showing the logo of our school through the scratch. how do i start this . my coverpage is practically finish this is all i need to do. please help

well i have the i have the background and text but i would like to know how to include a tiger claw scratch on the book cover. I dont want the claw i just want a scratch on the cover page. through the scratch i would like to see our school logo from beneath the book cover displayed only through the scratch. how do i do this. its like cutting your shirt only to see you have another shirt underneath. i want ideas as how to begin.

you could also get something like this, put it in a new layer, above your own and try to delete the inner red field, with an eraser tool, a mask or by color selection. Refine the edges and your done.
