Hi guys. Iv played a bit with photoshop and tried to create my own logo. I have the colors and Ideas down, But I have a new Idea for a logo, and I dont really know how to do it.

I want to take the theme / Look of the logo i made (Dereks Magic), and turn it into a monogram. I was wondering if anyone can help. I already have the colors / look that I can show you, just look at my Dereks Magic image I made.. and I found the monogram I want as well. I wanna merge the look of my Dereks Magic image I made, into a DM monogram.

Would someone be willing to throw something together for me? I would greatly appreciate it.

So id like the Monogram by itself with no background so I can use it with like a header on contacts, on my website, and a "watermark" on pics and make a business card out of it etc..

Any help would be great.

Bump. Anyone? Just would like a nice 3D-ish looking Monogram in black and blue, I even have the design of the monogram posted... Im sure there is someone out there that can throw together something to help out.

I would really appreciate it.

PS. I perform mostly for charity events, so this is helping out a good cause :)
 
Yes, I work for free. I do a lot of work at hospitals locally as well. I was diagnosed with crohns disease and almost died in November, so im looking at doing a lot of work for some autoimmune foundations and work with the hospital. Thats why im trying to get my logos and stuff for free cus im not making money from this.

I would greatly appreciate the help. I would really just like that DM monogram, with no background made. And have the ,psd file sent to me so I can use the base logo and make some other materials out of it.. I really just need that DM shape made exactly as seen above. That's it. I dont even need the circle around it. Just the 2 letters merged together with no background... Myabe 800x800 in a high DPI resolution so It does not look pixalated when I put it on other images.

Please, anyone that would be willing to help. You would be doing me a great favor.

I hope you do not think me rude. Please understand that anytime one asks to have a logo done, red flags go up and we think it is related to a for profit business and most time it is. Many of us do free jobs under certain circumstances. I would think you are certainly doing a noble thing and this can be done. This really needs to be in a vector format so that you have infinite sizing capability. Do you also have Illustrator? You would need software to manage the vector file. It can still be made as a vector and opened in Photoshop as a raster image, but you lose the resizing capability of the vector. What would you like to do?Edit: I went ahead and did this for you. This is just a jpg for online viewing but I have it as a vector that I can give you in AI or Corel Draw format. I also have it as a PDF and a PSD with not background. See if this will meet your needs. This is highly compressed but should look OK here.

Awesome man! all the Vector talk and the illustrator is above my head. And the logo looks awesome, Is there a way to get the separation line in there though? Just the .psd file would work. I dont really understand all the other stuff you were talking about. lol. Please excuse my lack of knowledge.
 
Yeah, I see what your asking for. That file is so tiny my old eyes don't see so good as they used to. I can fix that in Photoshop. You say you want this as a PSD file? You will have to give me an e-mail to send it to I think. Don't think I can do it here. PM me with the info.

That logo was denied by the client and is not in use. And as long as it is changed around enough, it should not be considered theft. Combining D and M together is not property of anyone. And the logo will not look the same as what is pictured above, I just need the base letters made as seen, then I will tinker around with them to the best of my abilities to make it different than what is pictured.
 
He says not. But that may be a problem. Need to qualify. Thanks Spruce. I'll remove the post until I find out. By the way, the one I posted is not a trace of the one he uploaded. I created the file from scratch and just guessed at the font. I doubt it is the same as the one in question. This one also is not the same anyway as it is missing the space he referred to. I don't see how an idea can be copyrighted. Where is he? Are both parties in Australia?

You have started a thread here to copy that Logo, your request is quite clear about your intentions.

If you were going to change it around, you could have just asked for a new logo that was similar. So there is a point, and this is theft. You can't just fabricate rules for copyright law just to suite you, as the actual law still trumps your made up interpretation of what you can and can't do.

American copyright law, so it will all boil down to who has the best lawyer.

If I'd have seen this thread when it was created, I would have said something. Obviously I would have found it impossible to keep my mouth shut for this long.!
 
I looked at it on Dribble. It appears to be the same file as was posted here. It is quite clear that screen shot is copyrighted. I will not pass the file in PSD format as I was requested to do, although what I produced is not identical, nor was I aware of the copyright. The OP told me it was clear. No money involved here on my part either.
