I was just using PS yesterday with no problems but today any time I double click on any layer to open up the blending options I get that message "Could not complete your request due to a program error." What could have happened in 24 hours that made the blending options stop working?

I use Adobe PS CS5.1 Extended and if someone could help me through this it would be greatly appreciated - I need it fixed as soon as possible.

I've tried all the things I could think of - closing the program and opening it again, restarting my computer and resetting my preferences but to no avail.

Thank you!

Memory issue probably, how much free space do you have?

Try resetting your preferences file.
Start Photoshop and immediately hold down Ctrl+Alt+Shift (Windows)
or Command+Option+Shift (Mac OS X).

Then, click Yes to the message, "Delete the Adobe Photoshop Settings file?"
