yes, i know there is lots of discussion on this topic...but how to make a copyright? i tried the digimarc...it doesn't seem to show on the pic

thanks

Digimarc won't show "ON" a picture, it's basically like file information.

Just make a semi-transparent copyright logo, or your own logo, and make it a top layer. Don't make it too "obtrusive to the piece though, as I've had people get upset, and tell my my photos or artwork sucked if only for that reason.

No, isn't that great that it doesn't show up ;)

Btw, to fully use Digimarc in Photoshop, you'll need an ID and you don't get one for free ;)

sorry i dig this forum thread up but it would be kinda stupid to open a new one as there already exist a thread

How do you place a (non visible/visible doesn't matter) legal copyright on your photo's, like i have created this and wanna show it to you guys but as one of you copy it and use it for its own good i can let them pay?

if you want the copyright symbol select the text tool and press Alt+ 0169 you dont put the + in and hold the alt while you type he numbers in

Hi B.I.

Actually I would recomened you start a new thread on any subject if an existing thead is this old.
This thread is over 8 years old and in the wrong foum.

Members are likely to see the date 03/31/2003 and ignore it.

you can close this but last question: can i place a copyright without doing anything else (like registering the image)

......... can i place a copyright without doing anything else (like registering the image)

It would depend on your country but it's very unlikely you could collect damages without registering your photograph or image with your copyright office.

Here in the USA a photographer is the copyrighted owner of the image as soon as the photo is taken.
Placing your name and © in the metadata of a photo or on image is fine but it doesn't legally protect or guarantee that you can collect damages.
The only way you are guaranteed to collect damages is by copyrighting your images with the copyright office.

can you give me a link please?
