Converting RGB files to CMYK files

I am very new to Adobe PhotoshopCS4 and need some urgent help to talk me through converting imported RGB graphic files to usable CMYK graphic files [illustrations not photos] and saving to CD, for giving to commercial offset-printing company who are waiting to print…hope someone out there can help?

in cs4 it couldn't be easier open your files using cs4 go to menu bar >Image>Mode>>CMYK ……….save Done

I would leave the press doing the convertion because they will also add the color profile they use. PS converts to CMYK but it uses a color profile for that.
