Combine Paths...Break Apart??????

Hi all.

In PS6 it is possible to combine paths but, there is no quick method of breaking them apart. They must be selected one at a time, copied, deleted, and then the copy pasted back in place as a seperate subpath, or path on its own path layer.

Is there a button in PS7 or CS that breaks apart/seperates paths, similar to the method used in Illustrator or other vector programs.

Thanks

Hi Sark,

No, I don't think so. There's no knife tool or anything like that. You still have to do what you've learned to do in PS6. While some vector tools have been enhanced, mostly shapes and type, PS is still a rudimentary vector application.

Thanks Welles.

I suspected not, as there is really no need for it in PS. I asked because I found a way to get my CorelDraw paths into PS as paths but, they have to be combined, so was just wondering if it had been added to a more recent version.

Oh well, will just have to seperate one at a time.

Thanks for posting
