Hi
Hope someone can help.
I have lost white in the palette, when I type in 255,255,255 it should
produce white but I get a kind of beige.
Is it a fault with the monitor set-up or can I reset my palette.

No, if it's says that it's 255,255,255, then it really is pure white. For example the background of our forum is also 100% white. If also this background looks beige to you, then it's just another confirmation that you need to calibrate you monitor:

With a LCD monitor you might need to dig deep to locate the proper controls (check your manual).

Thanks for your quick reply.
No the background of the forum looks white, so it's just PS7 that isn't displaying white.

Like Spectre said, calibrate first. It's important to make sure that your "foundation" is ok. Only then we'll know whether you're having a different problem. ;)

I know this is an old thread, but none of the solutions posted were working for me and I searched everywhere, then finally figured it out for myself, so hopefully this will help anyone else with the same problem get it fixed. This is for CS5 so it might be different, but all you need to do is go View>Proof Setup>Monitor RGB. That will make it look right.
