Color space issue

Hello,
I'm running on the latest version of Lightroom and Photoshop and using a Benq PD2700U 4K monitor for editing. When I open any image from Lightroom into Photoshop (Edit in photoshop option), the image gets warmer. I've selected sRGB in external editor in lightroom. I get a pop up dialogue box of embedded color profile conversion in photoshop. I select my monitor ICC profile that came with my monitor. But there is a slight color shift in the image in photoshop as compared to the image in lightroom. See the attached image.

What could be the problem?

Hi @abhinavjoshua
There is a color management workflow issue in your work flow yet cannot pin it down with the information you have provided.
The monitor you listed is an sRGB monitor so its profile should be pretty close to sRGB.

I suggest you set up your color settings per this image below where the RGB Working space is set to sRGB, it is set to Preserve Embedded Profiles and all the color management options are checked.

Since you are sending the image over in sRGB to PS, and the Working Space in PS is set to sRGB, you should have no pop ups asking you what you want to do.

It is standard practice to edit in a common editing space such as sRGB, Adobe RGB, ProPhoto RGB and not to edit in the monitor space.

The color management settings in you Windows machine should be set to color manage with the profile of your monitor and not used within PS.

Off hand even with the settings your were using (though not correct) should still have displayed the same between LR and PS. Yet I would start with these recommended steps and see if you have any differences to report and we can go from there.

Hope this helps some
