Color Problem

Hi,
I am using Photoshop CS4
Up until yesterday everything was ok.
I do not know what has happened, but I have lost my colors?
When I select the text command, and choose a color, all I can use is white or black?

All the colors are there, but only white and black is all I can select?
Also, with my gradients?, when I select one, it is all black and white, although all the colors are there?

What has happened?
I am lost.
As I am still new to Photoshop

Thanks
Riptorn

Sounds like you have it set for gray scale Go to menu bar Image>Mode> click RGB color or what ever you need, does that help?

Hi,
Thanks, that worked.
Is there a way to set this?
As everytime I start Photoshop
It is in greyscale?
Can I set it to start in RGB?

Thanks

Try this:
  1. Open an image, any image.
  2. Check Image > Mode to see if it's in RGB mode. If it isn't, change it to RGB mode.
  3. Save that image.
  4. Close Photoshop.
  5. Re-launch Photoshop and open an image, any image.
Is the image in RGB mode, or Grayscale mode?

Thanks very much.
