Hi guys... I've been playing with photoshop for year and glad to finally come to a place where I can spend some time sharing and learning more! Here's a problem I can't lick and hopefully a guru can help out.
I've got a Windows based system and a nice, costly Dell monitor that isn't a TN panel. Colors are great and I think they are reasonably close to "calibrated" using some instructions I've found on the web. Here's the problem. I've noticed that there is a significant difference between the colors that appear in Photoshop and the colors that appear in a web browser. I love the colors for a design I have but they change when I "save for web."
I've done numerous searches on how to manage this issue and nobody has provided a solution. If someone can provide a solution to bridge the gap, I'd greatly appreciate it - but there's more.
Let's assume I bridge the gap. Is there a way I can find out what the color is that I like so much now? I'm not quite sure how to gage it other than buying some $300 optical scanner and using that. Ideas anyone?
