Hello there, I am new here so I hope that I am posting this on the CORRECT Section!

Ok, I am a Comic artist, and right now working with my Distributor/Printer on getting my pics to their demanded settings.
All the images are saves as .TIFFS in Grey except for the cover which is in CMYK Color. (was RGB and I converted it.)

Here is where my ISSUE lies!
In Photoshop (v.7), the Image looks fine, but in Window's Explore Menu (XP), when I preview the Image, it is all DARK!

Why are they different???

Please Help and THANKS in Advance!!!

Possibly the color profile and I realize you said it's Grayscale.
Go to Edit|Assign Profile and check the first option, "Don't Color Manage This Document".

Does it now look the same in PS and Explorer?

Hey there, I check this out ... it was actually already selected!

Toggle Ctrl+Y on and off.
This turns on and off Proof preview.

Go to View|Proof Setup and enter the output device a particular image will be sent to.
I guess it wold be Working CMYK
Toggle Crtl+Y, Command+Y I assume on a Mac.
What's happening?
