When i view a jpg in the windows pic viewer or internet explorer they look exactly the same. But in PS7 it looks very different as you can see in the pic below. the one on the left is how it looks in IE or windows pic viewer and on the right is how it looks in PS. I did edit the pic's levels and maybe some other things in PS so maybe thats where the problem is.....IE: it looked too light in PS so i darkened it to look perfect then it was too dark for windows viewer.
But i need to know for sure if windows is at fault or PS. It can't be the monitor because if it was then it would look the same in both. My system is a P4 3.0 on a asus board with a ATI 9800 pro. Where would you say the problem lies and how can i go about rectifying it? Seems like the PS pic is more correct to my eye and that the windows pic is too dark, but i'm pretty uneducated about these things so i was hoping someone could shed some light on the problem.
