Hello all !
First of all, forgive me for the possible mistakes I've made in posting this topic cause I'm French.
I am following a image tutorial post on the website deviantart which explain me how to create a phoenix, but I'm stuck at the 6th step, I don't manage to color my phoenix like the author of the tutorial. I've tried to use a colour layer mode or others techniques but nothing works properly. I hope you can help me.
The tutorial is there : browse.deviantart.com/?order9&q=phoenix&offset=24#/d3imtux
Thank you in advance !

Thanks for having responding so quickly. I tried this technic but it seemed not sufficient as you pointed it out. I gonna follow this way, but if you know what other options I can use to improve the details of the picture, I'll take it. Thank You !
I guess that this the same operation to use for the other steps of coloring ?

after the hue saturation adjustment(24,90,-16) you have a light orange image
if you make a new layer with mode "overlay" and opacity 50 %
you can make yellow accents by drawing with a white brush
you can make deeper orange by drawing with a black brush

I managed to do what I wanted to do thanks to you.
Merci à toi (I saw you live in Belgium so I write French).
