Τυπικούς χαιρετίσμους is grammatical correct but no one say this phrases.If you want to say hello in a forum from your country you can say Greetings from U.S.A. (Χαιρετίσμους απο Η.Π.Α). but it is great that you say some dificult phrases in Greek!  a slang way to say "χαιρετίσμους" in a Greek is to say Γεία χαρά νταν!(Gia hara dan)  or another phraseis is Τι χαμπάρια;(Τi Habaria) ...this type of speaking is not offensive and you can say in your friends   Greek language has not accent as English lanquage ...I think it easier to speak if you live for a period in my coutry but to write it has difficulties .

I think USA english is easier some times to understand from  UK english
