Circle Images, transparent background, thin border.....

Hello. I'm hoping somebody can show me where I can find explicit directions for the following:

I need to make an image that's circular, i.e. take an existing photo and crop it to be a circle. I already know how to do this with the elliptical marquee tool -- just use the tool to crop out the circle, then copy the selection into a new file with transparent background. But there's more....

What I don't know is:

1. How do I then add a 1 pixel white border around the circular image (and also make sure that the border is smooth and not jagged).

2. Now that I have EXACTLY what I want, in the right size, I then need to do it 250 more times, for 250 different photos. They all have to be exactly the same size. I can't possibly start from scratch each time, because I'll never get the same size as the first one. How can I use the first one as a "template" to make more of the same?

I've looked around for step-by-step directions, but I can't seem to find what I need.

I'm using Photoshop 7.0, if that helps. I know it's old, but it's all I can afford.

just select your circle then right click an "stroke" the color you need and size....very easy once you see it you'll hit your forehead head and say OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Dad, maybe you could re-word your explanation. I'm not understanding what you mean.

I have the circle image as a layer, with a transparent background. What do you mean by "right click and stroke"?

I've selected the layer, now what? When I right click, nothing happens.

rightclick after selection follow attachments

Aha, you must be using a different version.

I found it by left-clicking on EDIT, then STROKE. This is what I was looking for. Thank you so much.

Now, how do I make 250 more circles, exactly like the first one, for different photos? There must be a way to use the existing circle as a template to crop all the other photos?

I believe you can save as action and apply to all not to up on action this end though i'm sure another member can help with that? anyone? Good luck

To repeat the same action on another image, would not work, because the specific photos are all different sizes, so the area to be cropped or contained within the circle will be different for each photo file.

I want to be able to take the circle template, and move it around on each photo, until I find just the right area that I like to isolate. I just have no clue how to do this.

then your stuck doing one at a time ......set your elliptical marquee tool for fixed size then do as first one I showed you bingo use your mouse to move the mask around or arrow keys

Hey, FIXED SIZE....that's the ticket! I didn't even know if that was possible, or where to set it, but I found it, and it works just like I need it to.
Seems like such a simple thing, but I really am new to this.
Thank you so much!
