Cinematic Photography - Need help

probably just some curve adjustments. when you open the curves dialogue you'll see a drop down menu with red, green and blue options, you can adjust the colors of the image by changing the curves. so if you adjust just the blue curve you'll get more blue or yellow tones depending on which way you adjust it. red adjusts red and cyan, green adjusts green and magenta. adding some blending modes like softlight or color can also give you an interesting twist.

possibly a little desaturation, (definitely some desaturation used in some of the photos posted but not obvious in all). and it may be selectively used on colors, in other he may have only desaturated the blue colors in one photo or the reds in another. but what i notice most is the shift in color hues. the second photo for example has blue/green shadows and yellow/red highlights.

here's an example of basically what you're looking seeing in the photos above but with different colors (see the after photo at the bottom):

they use blocks of color to change the colors, but there's millions of ways to get the same end results in photoshop. personally i think curves is a more powerful tool and can achieve the same (or more controlled) results.
